The Invaders Steelband is one of the oldest steel bands formed in Trinidad and Tobago. Ellie Mannette, a pan pioneer, formed the band in the early 1940s, according to Discogs.com. The band first took to the road on V-J Day celebrations in 1945. This post lists some of Mr. Mannette's achievements.

- Created six of the nine instruments in the steelpan family, perfected the uniqueness of note blends on each pan, and was the first to wrap rubber on pan sticks
- Was the first band to burn the steel pan as a step in its creation, which is standard procedure today

- Considered the top J’Ouvert Steel Band
- They emerged victorious in the inaugural Sagicor seven-a-side pan competition in Barbados in May 2005, securing 346 points, a significant lead of 29 points.

- "Invaders" was the First Steelband to receive corporate sponsorship (Shell, Trintoc, Petrotrin, BWIA, Caribbean Airlines).
- Currently, "Invaders" stands as one of the few steel bands still residing in their original location.
- They have successfully petitioned the Trinidad and Tobago Government to designate their home as a national heritage site.
